Your baby's first room away from home should feel like an extension of it. Our Nursery is a calm, warm and unhurried space where the youngest members of Smart Steps are held, known and gently encouraged to explore.
A secure base for the biggest year of growth
In the first two years, a child's brain grows faster than at any other time in life. We protect that growth with consistency: a primary educator who truly knows your child, predictable rhythms that follow your baby's cues, and a soft, sensory-rich environment designed for safe movement and discovery.
Working in partnership with you
Settling a baby into care is a big step for the whole family. We ease it with a personalised orientation, a slow, staged start, and daily updates through the OWNA app — photos, sleeps, feeds, nappies and milestones, so you feel close even when you're apart.
What your child experiences
- Responsive, one-on-one care that follows your baby's own sleep, feed and play rhythms — never a rigid timetable.
- Sensory play, tummy time, music and gentle messy play that build early motor and language skills.
- Language-rich days — narration, singing, books and lots of face-to-face connection.
- A safe indoor–outdoor flow so even our littlest ones experience fresh air and nature every day.
The essentials
- Ages: 6 weeks to 2 years · 20 places
- Educator-to-child ratio: in line with NSW requirements (1 educator to every 4 children)
- Five nutritious meals a day, made fresh on-site by our in-house chef — fully halal, with every allergy and dietary need catered for
- We follow each family’s feeding routine: expressed breast milk and formula are prepared and stored to your instructions in our dedicated bottle-prep room, and solids are introduced in step with you
- Hours: 7:00am–6:00pm, Monday–Friday
